The table above lists every Nevada place in our service area, sorted by drive time. Drive times come from OSRM routing on OpenStreetMap data and assume free-flowing traffic, so treat them as estimates. Business counts come from the Census Bureau's ZIP Code Business Patterns for 2023 and count private establishments with paid employees.
What stands out
Reno's ZIP codes hold 266 manufacturing and 850 construction establishments, and Sparks adds 172 and 437 more, all within about 17 minutes of the shop. Carson City's ZIP codes add 138 manufacturers at about 36 minutes. Together these three places account for most of the industrial activity in the area.
The Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center shows only 10 manufacturing establishments in its ZIP code, but the number hides its size: Storey County private manufacturing employment reached 15,168 jobs in 2025 (BLS QCEW). See the TRIC data page for that story.
Farther out, Fernley, Dayton, Minden and Gardnerville each hold a few dozen construction and manufacturing businesses, and Fallon and Yerington serve farm, mining and utility work in Churchill and Lyon counties.
How the drive times were measured
Each route runs from 4812 Longley Ln to a point inside the place. For Fernley, Dayton and Yerington the point is the town center on its main highway, because the Census reference point for those towns sits out in a subdivision and gave a misleading time. Real drives depend on traffic, weather and the exact address.
Drive times matter most for field work, where our millwright and field work and portable align boring are done at your site. For shop work, the part comes to us.
How to use these numbers
Business counts show how much industrial activity sits in a place, not who our customers are. A ZIP code can cross a town line, so a few counts include businesses just outside the town.
