Sparks is one of the busiest industrial addresses in Northern Nevada. The ZIP codes that make up the city held 172 manufacturing establishments, 437 construction establishments and 21 commercial and industrial machinery repair businesses in 2023, according to the Census Bureau's ZIP Code Business Patterns. That is a lot of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, presses and rolling stock that eventually need a part made or a worn one brought back.

Love working with these guys, and gal. Great customer service and knowledgeable skill base. They have helped with many big projects and have always pulled though when our machines went down.

Who in Sparks keeps machines running

Sparks grew up around the railroad, and its industrial districts along I-80 still carry warehouses, distribution centers, fabricators and contractors' yards. Washoe County as a whole had 466 manufacturing establishments and 1,463 construction establishments in 2023 (County Business Patterns), and a large share of them sit in the Sparks ZIP codes.

That mix matters to a machine shop. Warehouses run conveyors and lift equipment. Plants run pumps, gearboxes, rotary valves and shafts. Contractors need frames, brackets and hydraulic cylinders built or repaired. We repair and make parts for each of them.

What you can send us

New parts are made from your specifications, drawings or samples, from a single prototype to a production run. Repair work covers gearbox rebuilding of any brand or size, hydraulic cylinders, pumps and shafts, and metal spray for worn bearing and seal areas.

When the machine cannot come to us

Some jobs are bolted down or too big to haul. Our millwright and field work and portable align boring are done at your site. Distance and access decide how a field job is planned, so call the shop with the address and photos of the machine.

The 17 minute drive is a free-flow estimate from OSRM route data, not an arrival time. Plan around traffic on I-80 and the Spaghetti Bowl at shift change.

Getting a part to us from Sparks

The usual route between the shop and central Sparks runs along Veterans Parkway and Sparks Boulevard. Call ahead with large parts so we can plan the unloading.

How to send us the job

Send a drawing (PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP or IGES), a sketch with sizes, or photos of the part with a tape or scale in the shot. A sample works too: bring it to the shop.
